Deze auto is vanaf nu te koop!

Op dit moment reizen we nog door Mexico, maar we hebben besloten, dat dit de laatste winter zal zijn. We zijn in 2011 met dit avontuur begonnen en volgend jaar worden we allebei 80 jaar. Dat lijkt ons een goed moment om te stoppen. Volgens plan zijn we nog tot eind maart 2025 in Mexico. Dat betekent dat de auto ergens in maart vanuit Veracruz verscheept gaat worden.

De auto heeft natuurlijk in 14 jaar best de nodige gebruikssporen opgelopen, dat is onvermijdelijk, maar ook zijn er in die jaren heel veel verbeteringen doorgevoerd, die de betrouwbaarheid en het gebruiksgemak vergroot hebben. Zo is onder andere veel gedaan aan de stabiliteit van auto. Hugo van Expeditievoertuigen.nl in Eibergen heeft hier een belangrijk aandeel in gehad. In 2023 zijn nog nieuwe luchtveren aangebracht.

Wij willen echter niet uitsluiten, dat iemand geïnteresseerd is om de auto hier in Mexico van ons over te nemen. Dat kan zowel voor ons als de koper duidelijke voordelen opleveren. Hoewel er aan de auto best wel kleinigheden mankeren, kun je er zo mee wegrijden en de reis vervolgen. Dat scheelt mij zo’n 5.000 euro verschepingskosten. Wel moeten we het dan eens worden over de inventaris in de meest ruime zin van het woord zoals de nagenoeg nieuwe Honda generator, onderdelen, gereedschap et cetera.

At the moment we are still traveling through Mexico, but we have decided that this will be the last winter. We started this adventure in 2011 and next year we will both be 80 years old. The car has of course suffered quite a bit of wear and tear in its 14 years, that is inevitable, but many improvements have also been made in those years that have increased its reliability and ease of use.

For example, much has been done to improve the stability of the car. Hugo from Expeditievoertuigen.nl in Eibergen played an important role in this. The last improvement was the installation of new air springs in 2023.

However, we do not want to rule out that someone is interested in taking over the car from us here in Mexico. This can provide clear benefits for both us and the buyer. Although there are quite a few minor things not perfect with the car, you can drive away and continue the journey. That saves me about 5,000 euros in shipping costs. However, we must agree on the inventory in the broadest sense of the word, such as the almost new Honda generator, parts, tools, etc.
