“English version”
With quite a bit of pain in our hearts, we decided to put an end to our “From here to …?” adventure. That does not in any way mean that we will stop traveling, certainly not, but we are going to dress it in a different way and so we will say goodbye to our little Man. This page contains a lot of technical information about the implementation and design. Under the heading “Foto’s” you will find two albums: “MAN technical” and “Ons Mannetje van alle kanten”. Together that already gives a nice picture.
The asking price is € 69.500.
What is also important; the car will be empty at delivery. This means that the extensive set of tools, spare parts, generator etc. is not included. This also applies for the inventory. Finally, it should be mentioned that we also have a donor car on offer. That has been pretty cannibalized over time, but there is still very a fresh engine and gearbox in it. The odometer of that one shows only 12.000 km.
Everything is negotiable. We are open to any serious offer and are also willing to provide additional information.

Our motorhome is based on an M.A.N. 8,136 truck with year of construction 1985. The truck has served in the Danish army for around 20 years and had only 60.000 km on the odometer. In 2005 it was brought to the Netherlands by the previous owners. The construction of the motorhome was taken care of by Twiga Travel Cars.
In April 2011 we bought the car. Partly because the layout was aimed at three people, we have the car fairly rigorously adjusted to our wishes by Hugo Kupper from Expeditievouigen.nl in Eibergen, The Netherlands.
In 2016, after we returned from Africa to the Netherlands, we made a number of important updates. The exterior of the cabin has been repainted in a more modern color and the interior has been refurbished. Two more solar panels have been installed and the original 4 service batteries have been replaced by two new 220 Ah Victron AGM batteries. Because 20-inch tires are not very common for a truck, making it difficult to get new tires, we have had made five new 22.5-inch rims. We started in North America with six new Hankooks. The two spare tires are still unused, the other four still have at least 50% profile.
(Extensive documentation is available for both the initial structure and subsequent changes).
